About the Musical Director
The Northwich School of Music was taken over by its current Musical Director Phil Brown in 1976. Having completed his professional training at Liverpool/Chester Universities he then won a scholarship at New York studying piano and composition. In 1985, Phil was awarded an Honorary Fellowship for his work in developing Contemporary music in the UK and in May 2019, Phil was offered an Honorary BEd from Chester University.
